Wicker is in his second season as head coach of the Outer Banks Daredevils. In 2009, he coached a franchise-tying record seven Coastal Plain League All-Stars, and was also the coach for the CPL National All-Star Team. The Daredevils were first in pitching and hitting for much of 2009 and won the league's first half North Division title, assuring Outer Banks its first home playoff game in team history. He was the assistant to then-Daredevils coach Robbie Wilson in 2008.
With 10 seasons of coaching experience, Wicker will have four in the CPL. He was an assistant at Florence in 2007. At USC-Salkehatchie, Wicker is an economics and business teacher and the athletics eligibility chairperson in addition to his assistant baseball coaching duties.
Tyler Noel - Assistant Coach
Noel is a familiar face for Outer Banks Daredevils fans, as he pitched for the team in 2008. Along with Wicker, he will focus on pitchers in 2010. Outer Banks' pitching staff has remained in the CPL's top three since the 2008 season, and Noel was part of the success. The Mansfield hurler was 4-2 with a 2.45 ERA. He led the Daredevils in time pitched with 58 2/3 innings.
Josh Eachues - Assistant Coach
Eachues will work with hitters in his first year on the Outer Banks Daredevils staff. He is currently an assistant at South Carolina-Aiken after retiring from professional baseball. He played for both Coastal Carolina and USC-Aiken, primarily at catcher.
